Flux is providing 4.1-kilowatt/hour, 24-volt portable lithium power packs to provide high performance storage for HDT's innovative renewable power solution.
Flux Power® Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB: FLUX), an innovator in advanced lithium energy storage systems, has agreed to provide HDT Global, a leading provider of highly-engineered mobile military and emergency response solutions, with portable lithium-ion storage packs for HDT's renewable solar energy solution designed to power military electronics in the field.
Widely recognized as a leader in power generators for expeditionary applications, HDT has emerged as an innovator in integrating solar power and portable energy storage to provide reliable, uninterruptable power for military Forward Operating Bases in the field. Flux is providing 4.1-kilowatt/hour, 24-volt portable lithium power packs to provide high performance storage for HDT's innovative renewable power solution.
The military has typically relied on generators and costly and hazardous long-distance fuel deliveries to meet their in-field power needs. HDT has integrated Flux's portable power packs into its self-sustaining system that uses solar panels to charge the power packs, significantly reducing its reliance on generators.
Flux's lithium-ion battery technology and battery management systems support high efficiency storage in a light and durable unit. In addition, the unit's charge/discharge rate, longer average cycle time and absence of noise emission make Flux power packs ideal for remote military operations in extreme conditions.
Carl Pates, VP of Engineering of HDT, commented, "Flux's portable power packs provide performance, reliability, extended life and durability that meet the needs of today's advanced military equipment. We were sold on their experience, design and technical expertise, the overall performance of their solution and their commitment to customer support. We are pleased to partner with them to deliver an exciting new solution for Forward Operating Base power."
Acting CEO, Ron Dutt, commented, "We see tremendous opportunity for lithium-based power storage to create new products and capabilities across a range of applications. Providing our lithium packs to HDT Global to meet the performance requirements of the military is both an honor and an exciting new avenue of opportunity for Flux. We look forward to an ongoing relationship with HDT Global as they extend their reputation for innovative solutions."
Headquartered in Solon, Ohio, HDT Global is widely recognized for its industry-leading production of state-of-the-art, fully integrated deployable solutions such as shelters, generators, heaters, air filtration devices and other engineered solutions used by U.S. and allied military units deployed worldwide, as well as civilian government and commercial customers.
Flux Power designs, develops, and markets advanced energy storage systems ("batteries") offering improved performance, extended cycle life and greater return on investment. Flux sells direct and through a growing base of distribution relationships. Products include batteries, packaged modules, advanced energy storage systems and components such as stand-alone battery management, stackable chargers, programming software and display systems.
