Despitefinancialstruggles, Vestasmaintaineditspositionastheworld’slargestturbineOEMin2013, andthecompanyhaswelcomedthenews.

Accordingtothereport, themajorityofthetop15OEMssawmarketincreases, especiallyChineseOEMssuchasGoldwindandEnvision. AlthoughChineseOEMsexperiencedaverypositive2013, MAKEsaysitshouldbenotedthattheirsuccesswashighlydependentonthestatusoftheirhomemarket.
ExcludingtheChinamarket, noChineseturbineOEMswouldhavemadetheglobaltop10 - adistinctionthatMAKEsayshighlightsthechallengesincompetingagainstestablishedglobalcompaniesoutsideofChina.
MAKEsaysthebiggestwinnersfromtheWestwereEnerconandNordex, whichsecuredsomeofthehighestmarketsharegains, boostedbyarecordyearforaddedcapacityinGermany.
