Siemens AG (SIE), Europe’s largest engineering company, agreed to supply wind turbines with 97 megawatts of capacity for a power plant in southern Peru.
The order is Siemens’s second in Peru from Madrid-based Cobra Energia, a unit of Actividades de Construccion & Servicios SA, the Munich-based manufacturer said in a statement today on its website. Terms weren’t disclosed. The deal also includes a six-year service agreement.
The Tres Hermanas near San Juan de Marcona, about 525 kilometers (325 miles) southeast of Lima, is adjacent to the 32-megawatt Marcona wind farm, Cobra Energia’s other Peru project that uses Siemens gear.
