National Energy Commission director Enrique Ramírez Tuesday said there are projects to produce 130 megawatts of wind energy across the country.
He said Dominican Republic’s 92 megawatts of installed renewable energy makes it a leader in non-traditional projects, and expects they’ll make the country the main destination for those investments in the entire Caribbean.
Ramírez spoke in the International Seminar on Sector Benchmarking: Electricity, organized for the electricity sector by the Public Administration Ministry (MAP).
The official said the success achieved by the National Energy Commission and the National Industrial Property Office results from knowledge of quality taught by the MAP.
