Furthermore, thereportsayselectricitygeneratedfromrenewablesourcesincreasedby30% in2013comparedtothepreviousyear, thusaccountingfor14.9% oftotalU.K. electricitygeneration.
CitingtheDECCstatistics, advocacygroupRenewableUKsaysonshorewindcontinuedtobetheleadingtechnologyforgeneratingelectricityfromrenewablesources, providing32% ofthetotal, whileoffshorewindgeneratedafurther21% - makingatotalof53% ofallrenewableenergyfromwind.
