Gamesa, a global technology leader in the wind power industry, has renewed the contract with the company Società Energie Rinnovabili (SER), the JV between API and Iberdrola, to provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for 244,65 MW, which correspond to the whole fleet that SER operates in Italy.

The company will perform maintenance services on 231 Gamesa wind turbines (189 G52-850 kW, 33 G87-2.0 MW y 9 G80-2.0 MW) located in 11 wind farms of Italy for a period of four years and a half, with an option to extend the deal for further two years.
O&M services, key to the company's growth
This contract strengthens Gamesa's presence in the operation and maintenance services business, a key area for the company's growth thanks to its recurring revenue, high profitability and cash flow generation. In addition, O&M is a vital tool for value creation in the development, availability and profitability of a wind farm, with the aim of lowering cost of energy (CoE).
Gamesa's full-service approach in the industrial wind energy sector is rounded out by its O&M services business: a division managed by an international team which maintains more than 20,000 MW for over 200 customers across the globe.
