Spanish manufacturer Acciona Windpower has clinched a deal to supply hardware at the 153MW Santa Vitória do Palmar wind complex in Brazil.

The wind power agreement with Atlantic Energias Renováveis covers supply and assembly of 51 AW125/3000 wind turbines at the wind farm in the state of Río Grande do Sul.
The wind turbines will be mounted on 120-metre concrete towers. The company has also signed a 15-year contract for operation and maintenance of the wind turbines.
“The contract with Atlantic strengthens our position in Brazil and confirms the special adaptability of our large AW3000 wind turbines to the characteristics of the wind power potential of the country,” said Acciona Windpower director for Brazil Christiano Forman.
“We have a very competitive machine with options that make it ideal for a large number of sites”.
